ASD is looking for a proactive and dynamic EU Affairs & Events Junior Manager (fixed term) to support our activities in Brussels. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to gain hands-on experience in EU affairs, stakeholder engagement, and event organisation within a high-profile industry.
About the role
The selected individual will play a key role in supporting the activities of the Sky & Space Intergroup (SSI) – a cross-factional coalition of Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) interested in aviation and space issues. The SSI – to which ASD is the secretariat – acts as a forum for results-oriented discussions among policymakers from European institutions and industry on selected topics affecting the aviation and the space manufacturing sectors in Europe (see the full list of SSI members here).
Additionally, the manager will contribute to ASD’s broader outreach and event activities, including high-level conferences and engagements with EU institutions.

📍 Location: Brussels (on-site position)
⏳ Full-time, 6-Month Fixed term
Key responsibilities
• Assist in organising SSI events, field trips, and outreach to MEPs and other key stakeholders.
• Contribute and coordinate content for the SSI website (under construction) and contribute to other related communications outreach.
• Support ASD’s Parliament-related activities, including ASD’s Parliamentary Engagement & Advocacy Committee (PEAC).
• Help coordinate the 2025 ASD conferences, internal meetings, and the 2026 ASD Convention.
• Contribute to press releases and communications related to specific events.
• Provide logistical and administrative support for meetings and events as needed.
Your profile
• Recent graduate or early-career professional
• Demonstrable experience in event coordination through studies, internships, work, or volunteering.
• Strong interest in EU affairs, aerospace, defence, and security sectors.
• Fluency in English is mandatory; French is an asset.
• Proactive, solutions-oriented, and ready to take action with a can-do attitude.
• Strong organisational skills and a common-sense approach to problem-solving.
• Prior experience within the European Institutions (e.g. Blue Book Traineeship, Schuman Traineeship) is an asset.
