I’m confident that under Mauro Moretti’s leadership ASD will continue and further enhance our industry’s capabilities to strengthen our competitiveness in the global marketplace”.

Commenting on his appointment, Mr Moretti said: “I’m delighted and honoured to take over from Jean-Paul Herteman who has been key in strengthening ASD’s development as a driving force for our sector”. He continued by emphasizing “the need for the Association to concentrate on the key priorities in the areas of Civil Aviation (revision of EASA’s Basic Regulation), Defence and Security (Preparatory Action on CSDP-related research) and Space (Copernicus and Galileo)”.
