The Security Business Unit (SBU) covers a wide range of security sectors issues, including border security, critical infrastructure protection, and cyber security. Since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, protection against hybrid threats has become increasingly important.
Recognising the significant contribution of the security industry to the European economy, the SBU advocates for a specific security industrial policy at the EU-level and greater coherence of the many EU instruments that are relevant for security.
