Assets+ stands for Alliance for Strategic Skills addressing Emerging Technologies in Defence. It is a consortium of 30 organisations from eight different countries, including academic partners, industry, and vocational training institutions. It is funded by the Erasmus+ programme, which supports education, training, youth and sport in Europe.
The main goal of Assets+ is to provide training programmes that match the current and future needs of the defence sector, which is facing a skills gap. The programmes cover four key areas: robotics, artificial intelligence, autonomous systems and cyber security. They are designed to be flexible, adaptable and easily replicable across Europe. They use various teaching methods, such as project-based learning, summer schools, challenges, e-learning and networking services.
