Advancing Interoperability: ASD highlights IPS at Ankara event
On 6 December, Paul-Alexander Cramers, alongside Phil Williams, newly appointed Chair of the ASD Services Commission, presented ASD’s activities in Services and Integrated Product Support (IPS) at the IPS Conference organised by SASAD in Ankara.
The event provided an excellent opportunity to engage with Turkish industry and Ministry of Defence representatives, exchanging insights on their IPS initiatives and exploring their interest in further adopting S-Series specifications to enhance interoperability and support.
The event underscores the growing global interest in S-Series specifications and their potential to foster collaboration and enhance support systems across borders.
ASD is actively working to fostering international collaboration and advance the adoption of industry standards, share best practices, and equip stakeholders with the tools needed to implement these solutions effectively. Through outreach, training, and the development of standards and guidelines, ASD continues to support the European aerospace and defence industry and its partners worldwide.
Integrated Product Support
IPS is an approach to managing the lifecycle of a product, from its design and development through its use and disposal. The goal of IPS is to ensure that the product is supported throughout its lifecycle in a cost-effective, safe and efficient manner.
