ASD presents S-Series and Simplified Technical English in Tokyo
This week, ASD was honoured to have been invited to present the S-Series suite of Integrated Product Support specifications to Japanese industry and Ministry of Defence representatives.
ASD is committed to supporting the innovation and competitiveness in our industry, and one of the ways we do this is by developing and promoting the concept of Integrated Product Support (IPS).
IPS is an approach to managing the lifecycle of a product, from its design and development through its use and disposal; and the S-Series Specifications is a cornerstone of ASD's commitment to advancing Integrated Product Support practice globally.
A pre-recorded message by our Secretary General, Jan Pie, was shared at the seminar in Tokyo, inviting Japanese stakeholders to engage with ASD and its members for the development and maintenance of the S-series IPS specifications and Simplified Technical English (STE100). Paul-Alexander Cramers, ASD’s Services Manager also gave a presentation on ASD’s role in leading the development of the S-series suite of Specifications alongside our US partners.
The seminar was an opportunity for ASD to deepen cooperation with partners at the Society of Japanese Aerospace Companies (SJAC) on the crucial areas of product support and services.
