ASD is pleased to be sponsoring the European Defence Network (EDN) Youth Seminar and Conference, scheduled to take place in Brussels on 24-25 February 2025. This reflects ASD’s ongoing commitment to fostering dialogue among young professionals, industry leaders, and policymakers in the European defence sector.
A platform for engagement and learning
Organised by the EDN, an association dedicated to engaging students and young professionals in European defence and security topics, the seminar provides a unique opportunity to delve into EU policy-making and its impact on defence strategies. Attendees will meet with Members of the European Parliament, EU decision-makers, and high-profile speakers.
The two-day programme features discussions and debates, and meetings with key figures in the field of European defence and security, including Marie-Agnes Strack-Zimmermann, Chair of the SEDE committee; General Christophe Gomart; and Andrius Kubilius, the newly appointed EU Defence Commissioner.
Day two will feature perspectives from ASD; the European Defence Agency (EDA); and NATO, focusing on the industrial and policy aspects of European defence.
